Getting Started

Can I request special tasks or extras?

Sure thing. You can choose your extras while filling the booking form and you can leave any comments in the box reserved for that purpose. You can also contact us at any time to make changes.

Do you bring your own cleaning supplies, products and equipment?

Yes. We use the product from the company PURE. They are 100% eco friendly and safe for animals and young children.

 

We do ask our clients to provide a mop, vaccum and garbage bags, since some of our employees use public transport. If that’s not possible, we will accomodate you no problem.

Do you service my area?

If you’re within the Gatineau, Hull, Aylmer, Buckingham, Masson-Angers, Chelsea (south) or Cantley (south) area, absolutely.

What is included in a home cleaning?

A cleaning takes into account everything that involves cleaning a home or apartment.  You can see our extensive checklist here.  We do offer extra services like cleaning inside the fridge. Those can be selected on the booking form or by contacting us directly.

What is excluded from a home cleaning?

While most common requests can be honored, Ecovista will not:

  • Do dishes.
  • Do laundry (except for Airbnb packages).
  • Clean surfaces on which personal documents or valuable objects such as bills, jewelery, money, are located.
  • Move household appliances or big furnitures.
  • Mop oiled wood floors.
  • Clean aquariums or pet excrements.

What should I do before the cleaning team arrives?

The most tragic form of damage is that of something irreplaceable either monetary or sentimentally valued. Rather than be sorry, the safest way to protect these items is to store them away on the cleaning day, or instruct us not to clean such items.

 

If for some reason you do not want a particular room cleaned, please just leave a note or close the door of that particular room you do not want cleaned and we will honor that request.

 

It would be appreciated if items were picked up off the floor and dressers and counters were not piled with too much clutter before we arrive. This allows the cleaning staff to clean more thoroughly. Also, please secure cash, jewelry and other small valuables. We do not wash dishes.

 

Please place your mop, vaccum and garbage bags near your front door, if possible.

Do you offer end of tenancy or move in-out cleans?

Of course we do! At Ecovista, we call end of tenancy cleans move in/move out cleans because sometimes you need a really thorough clean when you are moving into a new home. 

We charge 30$ an hour for this type of service. You can either call us at (819) 303-3088 or send us an email, and it will be our pleasure to give you an approximate duration for the tasks you require.

What if I have pets?

Pets are not a problem. If you have large and/or aggressive pets, we ask that you secure them while we are cleaning your home.

Do you offer deep cleans and spring cleaning?

Of course we do! At Ecovista, we know that sometimes you need a really thorough clean! Ex: Baseboards, walls, inside cupboards etc.

Pricing & Policies

Where can I apply my discount code?

In most cases you can enter your coupon code directly on the booking form. If you have any issues, please contact us and let us know.

How do I refer a friend to earn free cleanings?

How much will it cost?

We price based on the number of bedrooms and bathrooms in the home (please select the exact number of beds and bath, not just the ones you want us to clean). Select the number and the price is shown instantly on the website.

What is your cancellation policy?

You can reschedule or cancel your booking free of charge 48 hours before your appointment. 50$ cancellation fees may be charged otherwise. We won’t accept any cancellation request that is made 2 hours or less before your appointment and your cleaner will be compensated.

Trust & Safety

Can I trust my cleaning professional?

All of our cleaners are interviewed and pass a nationwide detailed background check. Only about 5% of the people that apply end up working for Ecovista.

Are you insured?

Of course. We carry a liability insurance of $2,000,000 covering damages and theft.

Is my billing information kept safe and secure?

We have three levels of security in place.

 

First off our booking page is protected by extended validation ssl.

 

Secondly our booking form has it’s own layer of 256 bit security.

 

Third, credit card transactions are processed by stripe and is layered on their own 256 security protocol.

 

In addition, no credit card numbers are stored in our system. Rest assured we take security very very seriously.

What happens if something goes wrong/breaks during my appointment?

If something goes wrong we’re here to make it right. Please let us know right away and we’ll be there to take care of it.  That’s our promise to you!

 

Also, all our cleaning professionnals have to inform us right away if something gets damaged in your home.

 

Do I have to be home during my cleaning?

Whether or not you’re home during your booking is up to you! Although we strongly recommend that you be present for our first visit to ensure that everything is to your liking.   If you’re a recurring client, we will offer you a key lockbox (Airbnb standard) that you put out on your cleaning day. This is the safest and easiest option in our industry. You can order one for your next cleaning in the ”extras” section on the booking form.   If you’re absent, you’ll be prompted to give your professional entry instructions. Here’s a few examples:  

  • A keybox
  • Leave a garage code (unlock the house door that leads into the garage)
  • Leave your door electronic code if you have one
  • Hide a key
  • Ask a neighbor or the doorman to open the door
  • Etc.
