Do You Offer Deep Cleans and Move In/Out Cleans?
At Ecovista, we are well aware that sometimes you need an in-depth cleaning after a move or simply because spring has arrived (ex: baseboards, walls, inside the cupboard, etc.).
Our rate is $37.55 per hour (taxes and cleaning products included) for this type of service. You can call us at (819) 303-3088 or send us an email request and we will be happy to give you an idea of the time it will take to complete the service, based on your requests.
What Should I Do Before the Cleaning Professional Arrives?
If you want us to skip a particular room, you can leave the door closed or leave a comment in the space reserved for this purpose on the booking form.
We appreciate, as much as possible, that the customer leaves the floors and counters free when the cleaning professional visits, as this allows him/her to ensure quality cleaning. If possible, please store any valuables before your appointment (money, jewelry, etc.).
Finally, please place your functional vacuum cleaner and garbage bags in plain view so that the Professional can get to work as quickly as possible.
What Is Included in a House Cleaning?
A cleaning takes into account everything that involves cleaning a home or apartment. You can see the extensive checklist used by the cleaning professionals here. Extra services are available, like cleaning inside the fridge. Those can be selected on the booking form or by contacting us directly.
Do You Offer Gift Cards?
What is excluded from a home cleaning?
While most common requests can be honored, the Cleaning professional will not:
- Do dishes.
- Do laundry (except for Airbnb packages).
- Clean surfaces on which personal documents or valuable objects such as bills, jewelery, money, are located.
- Move household appliances or big furnitures.
- Mop oiled wood floors.
- Clean aquariums or pet excrements.
What If I Have Pets?
Pets are not a problem. If you have large and/or aggressive pets, we ask that you secure them while your cleaning professional is cleaning your home.
Do You Service My Area?
If you’re within the Ottawa, Gatineau, Hull, Aylmer, Chelsea (south) or Cantley (south) area, absolutely.
Can I Request Special Tasks or Extras?
Sure thing. You can choose your extras while filling the booking form and you can leave any comments in the box reserved for that purpose. You can also contact us at any time to make changes.
Do You Bring Your Own Cleaning Supplies, Products and Equipment?
Yes. The cleaning professionals approved on the Ecovista platform use Dustbane products. They are 100% eco friendly and safe for animals and young children.
We do ask our clients to provide a functional vaccum as well as garbage bags, since some of the professionals use public transit.
Pricing & policies
What Is Your Cancellation Policy?
You can reschedule or cancel your booking free of charge 48 hours before your appointment. 50$ cancellation fees may be charged otherwise. We won’t accept any cancellation request that is made 2 hours or less before your appointment and your cleaner will be compensated.
How Do I Refer a Friend to Earn Free Cleanings?

You can enter your coupon code directly on the booking form. If you have any issues, please contact us and let us know.
Trust & safety
Do I Have to Be Home During My Cleaning?
Whether or not you’re home during your booking is up to you! Although we strongly recommend that you be present for your Professional’s first visit to ensure that everything is to your liking. If you’re a recurring client, we will offer you a key lockbox (Airbnb standard) that you put out on your cleaning day. This is the safest and easiest option in our industry. You can order one for your next cleaning in the ”extras” section on the booking form. If you’re absent, you’ll be prompted to give your Cleaning Professional entry instructions. Here’s a few examples:
- A keybox
- Leave a garage code (unlock the house door that leads into the garage)
- Leave your door electronic code if you have one
- Hide a key
- Ask a neighbor or the doorman to open the door
Are You Insured?
Of course. We carry a liability insurance of $2,000,000 covering damages and theft.
Can I Trust My Cleaning Professional?
All Cleaning professionals authorized to work on the Ecovista platform are interviewed and go through a rigorous admission process, in addition to a criminal background check. Only 5% of candidates are eventually accepted on the platform.
Who Are the Ecovista Professionals?
The Cleaning Professionals registered on our platform are self-employed entrepreneurs who have been thoroughly evaluated by the Ecovista team. Each professional must maintain a high level of quality and customer service to stay on the platform.
Is My Billing Information Kept Safe and Secure?
We have three levels of security in place.
First off our booking page is protected by extended validation ssl.
Secondly our booking form has it’s own layer of 256 bit security.
Third, credit card transactions are processed by stripe and is layered on their own 256 security protocol.
In addition, no credit card numbers are stored in our system. Rest assured we take security very seriously.
What Happens If Something Goes Wrong/Breaks During My Appointment?
In the very rare event that there is a problem during your appointment (damage, theft, vandalism), please contact us as soon as possible at email@example.com or (819) 303-3088. We will rectify the situation, it’s our guarantee.
In addition, your Professional has the obligation to contact us as soon as a damage occurs at a customer’s premises.
